Zlatan Ibrahimović is the face of the new marketing campaign of Volvo V90

Volvo Cars will present the new V90 adding the football star Zlatan Ibrahimović to their campaign.

 

The new campaign which will begin on 30th May comes with a speculation for a future collaboration between the striker for Paris Saint-Germain and the Swedish producer of first-class cars Volvo.

 

“The campaign is a celebration of the free spirit and power which lies in the opportunity to think differently. There are a lot of similarities between Zlatan Ibrahimović and the journey of Volvo. We didn’t get where we are by doing what others do,” said Andreas Gustafsson, Senior Vice President, EMEA at Volvo Car Group.

 

Volvo Cars and Zlatan worked together in an unforgettable marketing campaign in 2014 where the footballer energetically recited the Swedish national anthem and hunted in remote Swedish forests.

 

Even at its introduction at the beginning of the year, V90 received hundreds of positive reviews from media around the world. On the basis of the indisputably large heritage of Volvo Cars in the sedan segment, which started 60 years ago with Volvo Duett, the new Volvo V90 is a clear step forward in terms of aesthetics and choice of materials.
