All-new Volvo XC90 debuts in Bulgaria

The official debut of the new generation Volvo XC90 took place in the evening of 2 April in Sofia. Attracting unprecedented interest, Moto Pfohe unveiled the safest and most luxurious car Volvo has ever built. The model made a confident debut before a VIP audience with many celebrities crowding in to be the first to see one of the most-anxiously anticipated premium cars in the world.
The all-new XC90 is a visually striking 7-seat SUV with premium quality, world-leading safety features, breakthrough engine range and unrivalled combination of power and fuel efficiency and exceptional interior finish. The model marks the beginning of a new era in Volvo’s history capturing the Swedish company’s future design direction.
Volvo’s all-new SPA technology allows the company to create the world’s first SUV without compromises. With the new XC90 the customer gets the feel of being in full command, spacious interior and flexible options in combination with the agility and the smooth comfort of a vehicle of smaller size and height. And as XC90 carries the Volvo badge, world-class safety is a standard feature.
The all-new Volvo XC90 is exclusively in Bulgaria. The car can only be seen in Sofia on 4 April in Rainbow plaza hall. The most anticipated Volvo debuted together with Oculus rift virtual technology and a unique of its kind HMI display. The innovative Oculus rift technology resembles a ski mask and headset creating all-immersive virtual experience, which makes the user feel he is present in another parallel world. Using the Oculus rift system anyone can immerse for four minutes in a unique Swedish landscape and feel the real Scandinavian luxury perfectly recreated in the new XC90.
Volvo’s HMI display recreates the central console of the new XC90 which features a tablet-like touchscreen. This system is virtually button-free and delivers a completely new way for drivers to steer their cars and use a wide range of internet-based products and services.
The first responses for Volvo’s new star – XC90 are extremely positive and customer interest is huge. Nearly 24,000 cars have been ordered globally even before the model has entered the showrooms. In Bulgaria, over half of the year’s sales target has already been met.
